I've been reading Torchwood fanfic since late 2008 (it's the entire reason I got connected to the internet back then), and seeing all the different takes on relationships, the aftermath of episodes, and exactly when Ianto and Jack started having sex, is fascinating. Disregarding canon (as I prefer to), no theory is wrong, there are so many possibilities, and that's one of the things I enjoy most about the fandom. There's so much to explore, writers can really let their imaginations loose.
You're right about that. The things they must see! Although Gwen has seen the least so she probably has fewer nightmares than the rest.
